How exactly is this accomplished?

With the Stories from the Golden Age Listen-And-Learn Program which is in full accordance with the English and Foreign Languages Standards as set by NCTE and ACTFL.

This program consists of a set of books and audiobooks, whereby the students listen to the audiobook while they read the book which improves their pronounciation skills as well as their vocabulary. Easy to use glossaries are contained in each book, so that hard-to-find words can be looked up and readily understood by any student.

What the teachers and students are saying

Teacher using the Listen and Learn Program in his classroom"The Golden Age Stories are an example of the creative genius of the writer and how, with each story, you are transformed into a literary time and space machine.
"I personally enjoy the books and especially the audiobooks since I commute.
I have also introduced these tales to my students, who find them funny, exciting and creative. I use the stories in my lesson plans as illustrations of what creative writing is all about. The students learn to be more descriptive and how to use word pictures as a tool to color themes and tell the story.
I feel the Stories from the Golden Age are a valuable tool in getting our youth involved and eager to read."
—Jonathan Griffin, Teacher

Student improving his literacy with the Stories from the Golden Age Listen and Learn Program"The greatest thing about the stories is the ACTION! They are great!
"The Stories from the Golden Age have helped improve my reading level. At first I was just listening to the audiobooks and then I started the Listen-and-Learn program where I listen to the audiobook while reading the paperback. I can see what the right words are and how they are pronounced. I get the words now and my reading and vocabulary are improving dramatically. I probably jumped a couple reading levels just by reading the books while listening to them! I really like all of them, but I think my favorite genres are science fiction and then western. I count them for school work, but I really read them for fun!"
—Nicki Baric, Student

"I am in Middle School, and I love the L. Ron Hubbard adventure stories. They are not too long, not too short; they are the perfect length. I find them to be quite interesting. My all-time favorite is Spy Killer.
"Mr. Hubbard puts some kind of great storyline together and turns it into a great piece of art. I find him to be one of the best fiction writers of all time. I have read many books. There is always one in my hand, so I know. He writes all kinds of stories. Mystery, science fiction; you name it, he wrote it.
"All of them are a little different, and there are always so many more to read. The only way to find out the real experience of his books is to read them yourself."
—Kyle Williams, Student

"Being a housewife of present, these tales give me a respite from the daily chores of managing a household and taking care of my family. And lo and behold, my family is catching on as well. When I get the books as they come out, my daughter and I carefully work out our reading schedules—she is also a voracious reader, an A student, and she devours the stories as fast as I do!"
—Brenda R. Brignoni, Housewife
